About the role
Are you always on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube? Do you enjoy spotting trends, filming videos, taking great photos and coming up with creative ideas?
We’re looking for a part-time Social Media Content Creator & Business Promoter with a great personality to become part of our growing business.
This isn’t your typical social media role. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved with the day-to-day business, create fun and engaging content, promote our businesses and work alongside a friendly, energetic team.
We’re looking for someone creative, enthusiastic and proactive who can help us showcase what we do and grow our presence both online and within the local community.
What you’ll be doing
Your role will include:
- Visiting our site Waenfechan approximately once a week to photograph and film enough content for the week ahead.
- Editing photos and videos from home to create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other platforms.
- Posting or scheduling social media content throughout the week.
- Filming fun videos, promotional material and behind-the-scenes content.
- Taking high-quality photos and videos of our food, site, events and day-to-day activities.
- Keeping up to date with trending sounds, filters, formats and viral content ideas.
- Coming up with fresh and creative content ideas for our businesses.
- Working closely with the owners and our marketing advisor to discuss campaigns, promotions and new ideas.
- Helping create social media campaigns designed to increase awareness and engagement.
- Reaching out to local businesses, influencers and content creators to arrange collaborations and promotional opportunities.
- Looking for additional ways to promote the business beyond social media.
- Helping the wider team during busy periods, including assisting in the kitchen or at events where needed.
- Bringing your own personality, creativity and ideas to the role.
Who we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from someone who:
- Loves social media and enjoys creating content.
- Has a good understanding of Instagram and TikTok, as well as platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
- Enjoys making videos and is comfortable appearing on camera.
- Knows how to film, edit and upload videos using a smartphone.
- Keeps up with current social media trends and understands what makes content engaging.
- Has strong spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Has a creative mindset and can contribute ideas for effective social media campaigns.
- Is confident working independently and managing their own workload.
- Is organised enough to plan and schedule content consistently.
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in when needed.
- Can make their own way to Waenfechan, with occasional travel to other locations for content creation or promotional activities.
- Can work flexible hours when required to capture events, promotions or other content opportunities.
Experience & skills
Previous experience in social media management, digital marketing or content creation would be an advantage, but professional experience is not essential.
Enthusiasm, creativity, personality and a willingness to learn are just as important to us.
It would be beneficial if you have:
- Experience creating social media content.
- An understanding of digital marketing and public relations.
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience using video or photo editing apps.
- Experience with Canva, graphic design software or other content creation tools.
- The ability to manage multiple ideas or projects at the same time.
