Overview
Due to retirement we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our small team and run our financial department. This pivotal role involves overseeing accounting processes, managing financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with both the management and the staff to ensure all aspects of finance in a small company run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures using Sage
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial management or as a Financial Controller within a small company environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software sage.
- In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes and overall financial operations management.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple accounting functions while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and internal control frameworks.
The hours available are flexible and can be discussed at interview to suit. Experience in a manufacturing/ Engineering environment would be an advantage but is not compulsory.
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
