Cook — £15-17.00 per hour — Historic Free House, South Devon
A well-established and historic Free House on the edge of Dartmoor is looking for an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team.
This is a calm, organised kitchen serving a focused menu of quality British food including shortcrust pies, classic dishes and premium boards. The operation is straightforward, well-run and properly structured.
We are looking for someone reliable, competent and comfortable working in a professional kitchen environment without constant supervision.
The Role
- Work alongside the Kitchen Manager during service
- Cover the Kitchen Manager on days off
- Assist with prep and batch cooking sessions
- Help direct the junior kitchen person during service
- Maintain a clean, organised section throughout every shift
What We Are Looking For
- Previous kitchen experience in a pub, restaurant or catering environment
- Calm and organised during service
- Reliable and professional
- Comfortable working independently once briefed
- Pride in maintaining standards and cleanliness

- Zero-hours contract
- Baseline 16 hours per week
- Additional hours available by agreement

- South Devon location with easy access off the A38
- Kitchen typically closes at 8pm
