Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Pharmacy Dispenser / Medicine Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients, while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medication administration and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting.
Duties
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately, following all legal and regulatory standards.
- Assist with the preparation and labelling of medications, including dosage calculations.
- Support patients by answering questions and providing advice on the safe use of their medicines.
- Maintain precise records of medication dispensing and manage stock levels.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to promote patient safety and the highest level of care.
- Take part in regular training to stay current with pharmacy practices and regulations.
- Keep the pharmacy clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Prior experience and training as a pharmacy dispenser is essential.
- Strong understanding of medication handling and patient care.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment while remaining professional.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
