Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our family-run cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent customer service, and a solid background in food service and hospitality. This role involves supervising our team members, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a welcoming and friendly environment for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front of house cafe staff, including baristas, servers and runners
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and consistency
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of operation
- Assist with service when necessary, supporting staff during busy periods by making coffees, serving customers and running food/drinks
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality and service excellence
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly
- Monitor stock levels of front of house supplies and communicate needs to management
- Be confident in ordering stock when management is away
Qualifications:
- Proven supervising experience within a cafe or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food preparation and food safety procedures
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including serving, food production, and kitchen experience
- Strong Barista experience with previous training preferred.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure
- A friendly demeanour with exceptional communication skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
