About the role:
We are seeking a Purchasing & Warehouse Executive to manage day-to-day purchasing activities while supporting and coordinating warehouse operations. The role will primarily focus on procurement, supplier management, cost control, and stock planning, with responsibility for ensuring efficient warehouse and inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage direct and indirect purchasing, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, and raising purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, and purchasing costs.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve purchasing and delivery issues.
- Use ERP systems (Robosol - Dynamics 365) for purchasing, stock, and supplier management.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations, including goods receipt, storage, stock movement, and dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks and reconciliations.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, cleanliness, safety, and security of warehouse stock.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams.
- Support warehouse staff and ensure procedures and company standards are followed.
- Assist with stock discrepancies, damaged goods, returns, and supplier claims.
- Ensure purchasing and warehouse activities comply with company policies and relevant UK requirements.
- Prepare purchasing, inventory, and supplier reports using MS Office and Excel.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in purchasing and supplier management is essential.
- Previous experience coordinating or supervising warehouse activities is desirable.
- Strong MS Office and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems; Robosol / Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
- Good negotiation, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse procedures, and Incoterms is an advantage.
Pay: £13,000.00-£15,000.00 per year
