Children and Family Support Services are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker seeking to progress into a Deputy role, or a current Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge.. This position is based at our dual-placement home, supporting children with complex and challenging needs.
Set in Bristol, our home is a partnership with Bristol Council and enjoys considerable support from the Local Authority. You will be a key part of the leadership team, responsible for a team of support workers, and have the opportunity to create a safe and welcoming environment for young people where we can make a real difference to their lives.
You will have a driving licence and car, a minimum of 2 years working within a children's home and an NVQ level 3 or 4 in residential social care or equivalent. Just as importantly you will be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience and team working skills and a desire to create a positive and happy culture which will enable our children to thrive.
As a growing company we offer the opportunity to progress to a Registered Manager position within two years.
You will also be required to do one shift a week which will be a 24 hour shift and help out with any emergencies. As a deputy you need to be fully flexible and share on call over weekends and evenings with the manager.
Skills:
- Previous experience in residential children's homes
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate staff
- Proficient in developing and implementing care plans and risk assessments for young people
