Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our team. This role involves flexible working across four practices, all located within a three-mile radius in the Tameside area.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care, undertaking clinical assessments, and supporting effective clinical decision making. We offer one-to-one training, along with weekly tutorials tailored to areas where additional support may be needed. An on-call GP will always be available for guidance.
Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered. Candidates must be able to work until 18:30, with flexibility to remain later on occasion in the event of urgent clinical need.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Prescribe and administer medications safely in line with established protocols and guidelines
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required
- Provide health education and counselling to support patient understanding and self-management
- Accurately document all clinical interactions within electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and organisational standards relating to patient care
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Nurse with an advanced practice qualification (e.g. MSc in Advanced Clinical/Nursing Practice)
- Demonstrable experience in patient care within a clinical setting
- Independent prescribing qualification (minimum two years’ experience preferred)
- Must have a clear driving licence to do home visits
