An excellent opportunity for a Skilled HGV mechanic to join our busy team
Additional training is offered in any area needed as we work on a variety of commercial vehicles from vans, trailer, tractor units, rigids, low loaders and much more
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and specialized equipment following schematics and technical drawings
- Conduct soldering and electrical connections with precision to ensure reliable operation of all installed systems
- Use heavy lifting techniques safely to handle large or bulky parts during installation or repair processes
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and troubleshoot issues related to mechanical or electrical systems
- Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics, technical instructions, and safety protocols for efficient workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly within an automotive or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair and maintain various vehicle components and equipment
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Electrical experience combined with knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards is highly desirable

Pay: £35,000.00-£53,795.64 per year
