Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to individuals in need, including adults age 18 - 65+, and those with specific health conditions such as mental health, learning disabilities and autism. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive support and understanding.
Duties
- Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes or care facilities.
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes.
- Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or activities.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or health status.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure the safety of clients at all times.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance their well-being and mental health.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
Experience
- Previous experience in adult social care, supported living is highly desirable.
- Working with adults with learning disabilities & autism.
- Certification in first aid is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting clients as needed.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
