Customer Service Advisor (Temp to Perm)
Location: Stretton
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Break: 1 hour (30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid)
Pay: £12.71 per hour – Temp to Perm
Overview
Evolution Recruit are currently representing a client based in Stretton who is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join their busy Insulation Team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
This is a varied role combining project coordination, customer communication and administration. The successful candidate will be confident speaking to customers and installers over the phone, providing project updates, resolving queries and ensuring jobs progress smoothly from scheduling through to completion.
You will need to be organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects at once, while maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider team with administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, installers and internal teams throughout insulation projects
- Make and receive a high volume of telephone calls, providing updates and resolving queries professionally
- Liaise with customers to arrange appointments, provide project updates and ensure they are kept informed
- Coordinate with installers and the Installations Team to ensure projects progress according to schedule
- Monitor the progress of insulation projects and follow up on outstanding information, documentation or actions
- Review installation images and documentation to ensure requirements have been met
- Maintain accurate project records, spreadsheets and CRM information
- Update installation costs, including scaffolding, installation and any additional or revised costs
- Allocate completed jobs to daily installation schedules within the CRM
- Identify and resolve issues that could delay projects, escalating where necessary
- Provide regular updates to the wider team regarding project status
- Complete general administration associated with projects and customer accounts
- Support the Insulation Team with additional tasks as required
Skills and Experience
- Confident and professional telephone manner – this is an essential part of the role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in a customer service, project coordination, administration or similar role
- Comfortable making a high volume of calls and speaking confidently with different customers and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work proactively and follow up on outstanding actions
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A positive, team-focused approach
- Experience within insulation, installations, construction or a similar industry would be advantageous but is not essential
Who We're Looking For
This role would suit someone who enjoys speaking to people, organising projects and making sure things get done rather than a purely administration-focused position.
You will be confident picking up the phone, comfortable dealing with customers and installers, and able to take ownership of projects from start to finish. You will also need to be happy completing the administrative side of the role, including updating systems, spreadsheets and project records.
Flexibility Requirement
Candidates must be flexible, as shift patterns may change in the future to include day and afternoon shifts. Any changes to shift patterns will be supported with a salary increase and flexibility where possible.
