Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our logistics team. Responsibilities
- Oversee transportation management systems to schedule, track, and optimize shipments efficiently.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of freight movements using systems such as AS400 and SyteLine.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams via phone and email, demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
- Perform data entry tasks related to shipment details, inventory updates, and logistical documentation with precision.
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Support logistics operations within the supply chain framework, including liaising with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
Requirements
- Proven experience with transportation management systems and logistics software such as AS400 or SyteLine.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret data and recommend operational enhancements.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information across teams and carriers.
- Proficiency in data entry, typing, and maintaining detailed records accurately.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers and their integration into supply chain workflows.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while demonstrating professionalism through good phone etiquette.
