Governor Support Ltd is seeking an organised, accurate and dependable Administration Officer to provide high-quality administrative support to our governance and clerking service.
This is a home-based role suited to someone who takes pride in producing accurate documents, managing detailed records and meeting deadlines. You will support routine Governing Board and committee work as well as sensitive casework, including pupil suspension and exclusion meetings, staff disciplinary matters and school admission appeals.
Key information
· 30 hours per week, term time only
· Fully remote/home-based
· Start date: 1 September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter
· Salary: £14 per hour plus holiday pay at 12.07%
The role
Working closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager, you will prepare and format agendas, minutes, letters and governance documents; maintain accurate meeting, attendance and casework records; support payroll information; and produce schedules and management information.
The successful applicant will have excellent written English, strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work independently in a busy remote environment. Discretion is essential, as the role involves handling personal, confidential and sometimes highly sensitive information.
We are looking for someone who:
· has excellent attention to detail and consistently produces accurate work;
· can organise competing priorities and meet fixed deadlines;
· writes clearly and professionally and is confident formatting complex documents;
· is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and electronic file management;
· can work independently while communicating effectively with colleagues; and
· understands the importance of confidentiality, data protection and impartiality.
