Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop team member to provide exceptional service to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and light snacks, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, teas, and other drinks, in accordance with company standards.
- Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, dining area, and work surfaces throughout shifts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Follow food preparation guidelines to ensure quality and consistency in all offerings.
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly without compromising service quality.
Skills
- Experience as a barista or in food service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
- Ability to serve customers with friendliness, patience, and professionalism.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Good organisational skills to keep work areas tidy and stocked.
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
