We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks and junior chefs, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation meet established standards.
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards, storage procedures, and allergen control measures.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen resources.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with health regulations and company policies.
- Support the training and development of team members to enhance skills and knowledge within the kitchen.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation across various cuisines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating proficiency in hospitality settings.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff.
