Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Sales Estimator to join our busy sales office team. This role plays a key part in supporting sales performance by delivering accurate, competitive pricing and providing insight into market trends. You will work closely with Sales and Account Managers across multiple locations, helping to convert opportunities into successful orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations based on enquiries generated by the Sales and Account Management teams
- Liaise with sales staff across multiple branch locations to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment on pricing and customer requirements
- Provide guidance and support to sales teams on quotations and orders, helping to improve accuracy and conversion rates
- Analyse and assess market trends, particularly across product ranges and cable types, to ensure pricing remains competitive
- Build strong internal relationships to support collaboration between departments and branches
- Communicate effectively via phone and email to respond to queries, provide updates, and maintain smooth workflow
- Review and refine pricing strategies in response to supplier changes, market fluctuations, and customer needs
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an estimating, pricing, or sales support role (ideally within a technical or product-based environment)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of market dynamics and pricing strategies
- Confident communicator with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Organised and able to manage multiple quotes and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal sales/order systems
