Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Rehoming Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be instrumental in finding suitable homes for our animals, guiding successful applicants through the rehoming process, and educating potential owners about the specific needs and requirements of each animal. Your primary focus will be to provide exceptional customer care, ensuring that potential adopters have an informed and seamless experience, while always prioritizing the welfare and wellbeing of our animals.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess suitable homes for our animals.
- Guide successful applicants through the rehoming process.
- Advise and educate potential owners on the specific needs and requirements of the animals.
- Complete adoptions with a focus on exceptional customer care.
- Ensure potential adopters have an informed and seamless journey.
- Prioritise the welfare and wellbeing of our animals at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent Communication: Strong empathy and the ability to connect with a diverse range of people.
- Customer Service: Proven experience in a public-facing role with outstanding customer service skills.
- Resilience: Patience, understanding, and the ability to cope in an emotionally charged and demanding environment.
- Positive Attitude: A proactive approach with the ability to use your own initiative.
- Team Player: Strong collaboration skills to liaise and communicate effectively with various departments within the charity.
- Tech-Savvy: Computer literate and proficient in the use of electronic systems.
