Chiller Engineer (Field Based) – Company Overview:
Our client is an established name in temporary plant hire, providing heating and cooling solutions to commercial and industrial customers across the UK. They are looking for an experienced Chiller Engineer to join their service team, installing, repairing and maintaining temporary chiller units to a consistently high standard.
Chiller Engineer (Field Based) – Role and Responsibilities:
- Install chillers in line with RAMs (risk assessments and method statements)
- Repair stock on customer sites and attend service breakdowns
- Run hoses and carry out physically demanding chiller installation work
- Assist with boiler installations during the winter season
- Install AC units and problem-solve issues relating to kit settings, customer demands and site restrictions
- Order stock for the stores and van, ensuring vital parts are always available and reducing waiting time
- Carry out depot-based work when no jobs are out in the field
- Support the development of new products for customer requirements and industry developments
- Be proactive in driving operational improvements, focusing on cost reduction and customer satisfaction, and embrace change with a positive attitude
- Lead from the front on safety and ensure compliance with all systems, procedures and processes
Chiller Engineer (Field Based) – Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Commitment to complete jobs in full
- Flexible and approachable
- Strong teamworking skills across the whole service team
- Represents the company and its values professionally to all customers and contacts
- Minimum 3 years' experience on commercial boilers
- F-Gas qualified
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Tidy work ethic
- Works well under own initiative
- Well organised
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Impeccable admin completion
- IT literate
- CSCS card
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the HVAC hire industry
- Electrical qualification
- MOD clearance
- MOD site experience
