Head Chef for independent pub.
£38-40,000 per annum based on a 40 hour working week. Plus potential £5k bonus and some tips.
We are a medium sized group of pubs and bars and a brewery. Our other sites are: The Black Heart, The Earl of Essex, The Axe (N16), Red Hand, The Bethnal Green Tavern and Saint Monday.
The pub has a casual high-quality food menu, accompanied by around 6 cask lines, and 16 keg lines of the best beer we can get our hands on, including a smattering of our own beer from Saint Monday. Low intervention wines, small batch spirits, and a small selection of simple but well-executed cocktails will also feature.
The space allows for around 80-100 covers, with a small garden at the front and side. The venue is very popular for both food as well as drinking, but we want it to remain very much a pub and not a restaurant.
We serve the best Sunday Roast in the area. Using high quality ingredients and treating them simply and with care to create a quite classic and delicious modern European menu with a lean towards British pub classics is the brief from the owners.
As the head chef you would be in charge of creating seasonal menus for the venue as well as managing the kitchen, all aspects of H&S and Food Hygiene. You will work very closely with the GM, your sous chef and the AGM who will support you in your role.
