Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced PCV Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our Flix Express contract throughout the country, ensuring timely services while adhering to all road safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCV driving and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all driving duties as tasked
- Ensure sufficient fuel is in vehicle for tasks at hand
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle at all times
- Maintain accurate tachograph records of duties carried out
- Maintain accurate timesheet for wage purposes
- Complete Defect reporting daily in accordance with walk round check for each vehicle driven.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and personnel regarding service schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Provide exceptional customer service during express service, representing the company positively at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a PCV driver or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for performing basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
