Activity Sessional Worker
Location: North & South Lanarkshire
Hourly Rate: £12.71 (dependent on age and experience as we pay the National Minimum Living Wage )
Hours: Evenings as well as some weekend work (Core hours expected to work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday Evenings, subject to change). Typically 6 hours per week, with a minimum of 24 hours per month.

Reach Lanarkshire Autism, Is a non profit charity based in Lanarkshire and established in 2012. We believe every young person deserves opportunities to connect, grow, and have fun. As a dynamic charity supporting children and young people with Autism and their families, we run a variety of inclusive activities and outings that provide both meaningful social experiences and learnings for participants and essential respite for families.
We're currently expanding our dedicated team and are looking for Activity Sessional Workers who are passionate, caring, dependable, consistent and ready to create positive change.
What You’ll Do
As an Activity Sessional Worker, you’ll:
- Support Young People with Autism in group activities, community outings, and fun-filled events three nights per week
- Encourage Social Skills & Confidence by fostering independence and helping participants engage with others by being interactive and encouraging as well as teaching life skills
- Create a Safe & Welcoming Environment where every young person feels included and valued age 5 to 18
- Assist with Session Planning & Delivery, including set-up, full engagement , and smooth transitions as well as following plans and layouts
- Collaborate with Team Members to share feedback after every session and share new ideas helping to ensure a positive experience for all
What We’re Looking For
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and levels of experience. Ideal candidates will have:
- A genuine passion for working with young people
- An interest or understanding of Autism and Additional Support Needs (experience is desirable but not essential)
- Patience, empathy, and flexibility, especially when supporting those facing additional challenges
- A commitment to inclusion and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others
- Experience in youth work, education, care, or community roles (desirable but not essential as we provide full training)
- Flexible to change and can travel to sessions across North and South Lanarkshire
- Dedicated as a minimum to working a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday Evening every week.
