DKB Construction LTD is looking for a motivated, skilled and reliable Joiner/Carpenter to join our growing construction team.
You will work across a range of residential, commercial and industrial projects, creating, installing and repairing timber structures, fixtures and fittings. Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other materials accurately using hand and power tools.
- Construct frameworks, partitions, cabinetry, roofing structures and other fixtures to project specifications.
- Install windows, doors, flooring and other joinery components on-site or in a workshop.
- Carry out repairs, maintenance and finishing work to a high standard.
- Safely lift and move materials and equipment when required.
- Assist with general construction tasks, including painting, masonry, plumbing or basic electrical work, where appropriate and within your level of competence.
- Work closely with colleagues and other trades to complete projects safely and on schedule.
- Keep work areas clean and organised, store tools correctly and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Follow DKB Construction LTD's site procedures and all relevant health and safety requirements.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven joinery or carpentry experience, with a strong understanding of fabrication, assembly and installation techniques.
- Confidence using hand tools, including saws, chisels, hammers and measuring equipment.
- Experience using power tools such as drills, saws, sanders and grinders.
- The ability to read measurements and project specifications accurately.
- Knowledge of roofing installation and repair.
- The ability to carry out physical work and lift materials safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A professional, dependable and safety-conscious approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in painting, plumbing, masonry or electrical work would be advantageous but is not essential.
