Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit
- Collect signatures or proof of delivery from recipients as required
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred
- Valid driver’s licence, ideally with a <PERSON> driver qualification or equivalent
- Experience in commercial driving environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and logistics operations is beneficial
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
