Bus (Cat. D) or Minibus (D1) Driver

Join our growing, friendly team and play a vital role in connecting rural communities and ensuring the well-being of our passengers. We are looking for professional bus and minibus drivers to operate both existing and new services.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a bus or minibus, ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers, including students.
- Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle interior.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, parents, and staff to create a positive environment.
- Handle any emergencies or incidents calmly and professionally.
Requirements:
- License: Valid Cat. D (bus) or D1 (minibus) license, preferrably with an up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Experience: Minibus - must have prior passenger transport experience; bus - 2+ years of PSV driving experience preferred but not essential.
- Background Check: Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- Strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Hours & Pay:
- Full time: 35 -39 hours per week guaranteed with overtime available
- Part-time or casual role: 1 - 3 days per week, to be agreed.
- Pay: From £17 per hour for fully qualified bus drivers (higher rates for overtime and weekends). Minibus Drivers: from £14 p.h.
