About the Role
Chat Coffee House is looking for a reliable Kitchen Assistant to manage the baking and prep for our busy hot food unit. You will be responsible for baking off popular items like sausage rolls and chicken goujons, ensuring our hot unit is fully stocked for the morning and lunch rush. This role offers an excellent work-life balance with no weekend shifts or late nights.
Our location is exceptionally easy to commute to via public transport:
By train: We are located directly beside the City Hospital Train Station, making it perfect for anyone travelling on the local rail network.
By Bus: Multiple major Translink Metro bus routes (including the 9A, 9B and 9C Lisburn Road services) stop directly outside the hospital gates.
What You Will Do
- Bake off and prepare hot food items, including sausage rolls and chicken goujons.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure the hot food unit is always well-stocked.
- Operate commercial ovens and kitchen equipment safely.
- Check food temperatures and record logs to meet food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen workstation.
What We Need From You
- Previous experience in a kitchen, deli or bakery environment.
- High reliability and punctuality for the 7:00am start time.
- Good time management to keep up with busy breakfast and lunch periods.
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene is a plus).
