About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the finance department with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices and sales invoices
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconciling bank statements and financial records
- Maintaining accurate financial data and filing systems
- Supporting monthly management accounts preparation
- Assisting with payroll administration when required
- Monitoring outstanding payments and following up on debtors
- Handling finance-related queries from suppliers and customers
- Supporting audits and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role
- Xero experience
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- AAT qualification or a finance qualification is desirable.
