Support Worker – Day & Night Shifts

Shifts Available: Days (09:00 – 21:00) & Nights (21:00 – 09:00)
Hours: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available, including weekends

At Ignite Health & Homecare Services, we're looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team.
You'll be supporting two young adults and one teenager (aged 16–22) within the community, helping them to live fulfilling, independent lives while receiving the high-quality, person-centred support they deserve.
Whether you prefer day shifts supporting individuals with daily activities or waking night shifts providing reassurance and overnight care, we have flexible opportunities available.
About the People You'll Support
You will be supporting young people who:
- Are blind and use wheelchairs
- Have communication needs and additional health requirements
- Enjoy active and engaging lifestyles
- Value consistency, patience, and positive relationships with their support team
Every day is different, and your support will enable them to achieve their goals while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
Day Shift Responsibilities (09:00 – 21:00)
- Supporting individuals with daily routines and personal care
- Assisting with community access, appointments, and activities
- Promoting independence and life skills
- Supporting communication and emotional wellbeing
- Administering medication (following training)
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Working collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals
Night Shift Responsibilities (21:00 – 09:00)
- Providing waking night support and monitoring
- Supporting with personal care and repositioning where required
- Responding promptly and calmly to any overnight needs
- Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and secure environment
- Completing detailed records and handovers for the day team
- Ensuring individuals receive reassurance and person-centred care throughout the night

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Requirements
- Ideally 6 months' experience in health or social care
- Willingness to complete mandatory training
- Full UK driving licence desirable (adapted vehicles available)
- Flexibility to work a mixture of shifts, including weekends where required
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
