We are looking for a Full-Time Deputy Area Manager to join our semi-independent provision supporting young people aged 16–21 in the Bristol/Keynsham area.

About You:
This is a high-profile and autonomous role, with direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of two semi-independent supported living homes.
Supported by an experienced and accessible Area Manager, you will bring the background, confidence, and motivation needed to inspire a team of support workers to uphold the values and ethos of our organisation, with the development of young people at the heart of everything we do.
As Deputy Area Manager, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality support to young people and providing clear guidance to the wider staff team. You will help ensure the service offers a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can build independence and achieve positive outcomes.
To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate:
- A good understanding, and professional application of the Supported Accommodation Regulations including Quality Standards
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in Residential Childcare or Supported Accommodation
- The experience of working directly with children and young people
- A valid driving licence
- The right to work in the UK
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting young people to overcome challenges and build life skills for the future
- Providing guidance around education, training, and employment
- Leading and supporting the staff team, including supervision, shift leadership, and rota management
- Ensuring the welfare and support needs of each young person are met
- Leading on young person-centred practice, ensuring care plans are progressed and outcomes achieved
- Maintaining high standards of practice in line with Ofsted regulations, policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Participating in the on-call management support rota (typically one week in four, depending on service needs)
