Job Overview
We are looking for two engaging and reliable Community Support Workers to provide meaningful support to Brian, both at home and in the community.
Brian enjoys getting out and about, walking in scenic areas, and sometimes collecting Pokémon on his app along the way. He would benefit from friendly, encouraging support to access local services—whether it’s a trip to the shops, a visit to the cinema on a rainy afternoon, or just enjoying time outside.
Brian is fun-loving and easy-going, and he would work well with someone who shares his interests or has some knowledge of computer games, movies, and tech. If you’re patient, understanding, and able to think outside the box, this could be a great fit for you!
Responsibilities
- Providing friendly and engaging support to Brian at home and in the community
- Encouraging and assisting with outings, shopping, and recreational activities
- Supporting Brian to access local services
- Keeping basic service user shift notes in line with his care plan
- Ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities are met
- Support meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Provide transportation for appointments, errands, or social outings using personal or agency vehicles
- Engage in ongoing communication with clients’ families and healthcare teams to coordinate care effectively
Essential Skills & Qualities
- The right personality is more important than experience—care experience is a bonus but not essential
- Patience, understanding, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think outside the box and encourage independence
- Compliance with confidentiality policies
Desirable Skills
- A gamer, movie enthusiast, or someone with an interest in tech would be a great fit
- A driving licence and access to a car would be beneficial but not essential
Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
