We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and inspiring a team of kitchen staff. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and excellence in all dishes served
- Develop innovative menus that align with current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and professional development
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor quality control throughout the food production process to uphold brand standards
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Demonstrable team management and leadership abilities, capable of motivating staff towards shared goals
- Solid background in food production, restaurant operations, and hospitality services
- Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative menu development
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Strong understanding of health regulations and safety standards in a professional kitchen
- Previous experience serving customers directly is advantageous but not essential; however, a good understanding of customer service is important.
Pay: £42,000.00 per year
