We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team.
Role Overview
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Chef and catering team in delivering nutritious, appetising meals while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. You will play an important role in ensuring residents enjoy a positive dining experience every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments.
- Support the Chef with basic food preparation tasks.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils.
- Ensure food hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Store food safely and correctly following company procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation and deliveries.
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Work as part of a team to provide an excellent dining experience for residents.

- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
