Step Into Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive middle school in Leighton Buzzard to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the September 2026 academic year. This full-time, term-time opportunity will allow you to support pupils across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, gaining experience across a variety of subjects while developing the skills needed for a successful career in education.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students academically, socially and emotionally throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 lessons.
- Providing classroom support across a range of curriculum subjects.
- Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and resilience.
- Supporting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and learning activities.
- Working with students of all abilities, including those requiring additional support.
- Building positive relationships and becoming a valued member of the school community.

Contract: Full-time | Monday-Friday | Term Time Only
Salary: £500-£530 per week

Candidate Requirements
- A 2:2 degree or above (all degree subjects considered).
- GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths.
