Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in the Timber Fire Door sector. We are a traditional Timber Fie Door Manufacturer working to a high standard of quality. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire production process, ensuring that high-quality wooden fixtures and fittings are crafted efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards. As a leader in our team, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize supply chain workflows, and coordinate seamlessly with various departments to meet production targets. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional craftsmanship while maintaining operational excellence and fostering a culture of innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the production team, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of manufacturing processes ensure timely delivery of products.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate quality control standards across all production stages.
- Coordinate supply chain activities, including procurement of raw materials, inventory management, and logistics to support continuous production flow.

- Organising production paperwork
- Assisting with audits and recruitment
- Monitor mechanical systems and assembly procedures to ensure precision and consistency in product output.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement by analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and applying best practices for process enhancement.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold high standards of craftsmanship and ensure products meet specifications and client expectations.
- Hours 6 am to 2.45pm - Monday to Friday
Qualifications
- Proven experience in joinery or woodworking manufacturing management with a strong understanding of assembly processes.
- Familiarity with joinery soft and computer software for production planning and inventory control.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain management principles within a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong skills in process improvement methodologies and quality control practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
