We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well presented & flexible individual to join our small team of staff.
With over 1,000 members, 11 indoor rinks and excellent facilities including a restaurant and licensed bar, this is an exciting opportunity for to join one of the largest indoor bowling club in the country.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily administrative operations of the Club. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and experience in office management to contribute to the efficiency and success of our organisation.
Duties
-Entering data into our BowlR system, recording bookings and payments made by members
-Preparing league schedules and communicating the details to the relevant parties
-Dealing with all aspects of enquires for Members, Visitors & Suppliers
-Check and record daily takings & prepare banking
-Assist with the production of membership renewals
-Provide exceptional phone etiquette when communicating with members and suppliers
-Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations as required
-Assist in organising company events or training sessions
-Support other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office
-Serve in the Bar area when required
Experience
-Proven experience in office administration or related roles with a strong background in clerical and organisational tasks
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
-Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
-Previous office experience is essential
-Proficiency with office software, including word processing and spreadsheet tools
-Experience using email platforms, calendars and digital filing systems
-Ability to maintain accurate records and update internal databases
-Understanding of basic office procedures, document preparation and data entry
-Ability to coordinate schedules, and meetings
-Experience handling confidential information in line with organisational policies
-Good customer service skills, as they communicate with members directly or via phone or email
Hours
Winter Season hours – approx. 24hrs per week (mid September – mid April approx)
Wednesday to Friday
Summer Season hours – approx. 15hrs per week
(mid April – mid September approx)
Wednesday to Friday
There are also opportunities for extra hours covering annual leave and Club events throughout the year, some of which will require weekend cover.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
