Job Summary

As an independent contractor, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely, safe, and efficient deliveries to customers. Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own vehicle to deliver goods to various locations within designated areas
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel usage
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays
- Handle packages with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are delivered intact
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any issues encountered during routes
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license for <PERSON> driver or equivalent license suitable for commercial driving
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation tools
- Experience with vehicle maintenance or basic troubleshooting is a plus
