Role Summary
At Papa Johns, we know great products start with great operations. We're looking for an experienced Engineering Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering team and ensure our production facility operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for maintaining critical production equipment, driving continuous improvement, developing engineering talent and ensuring our operation is always audit and customer ready.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading and developing a team of multi-skilled engineers

Ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment

Creating and managing preventative maintenance programmes

Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and performance

Managing engineering budgets, KPIs and capital projects

Working closely with Production, Warehouse and Technical teams to minimise downtime

Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with site standards and RAMS
-
Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality

Supporting a culture of accountability, ownership and problem-solving across the team
What We're Looking For
Essential
-
Significant engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing, food production or automated environment

Strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge

Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment

Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and reliability engineering

Experience managing engineers, contractors and engineering projects
-
Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 operation
Desirable

Fresh food manufacturing experience

Experience leading Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement projects

NVQ Level 3, ONC/D, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification
-
18th Edition qualification
-
Experience managing CAPEX projects from business case to delivery
