We're looking for a collaborative Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team at Excel London - one of Europe’s largest and most successful venues, hosting some 400 events per year!
As Purchase Ledger Clerk you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases, supplier invoices, and payments. This diverse and integral role ensures compliance with Compass Group financial procedures and company standards by accurately entering all orders into the Compass Purchase Ordering Log - Foodbuy (FBOL).
Working closely with the Location Accountants and operational teams, you will play a key role in ensuring financial records are maintained efficiently and accurately.

Purchase Ledger Clerk - The role

Own day-to-day purchasing, supplier charges, and PO compliance using Compass FBOL.

Manage goods receipting to ensure operational readiness and supplier coordination.

Serve as the FBOL expert for purchase orders, goods receipting, and supplier invoices.

Maintain accurate, error-free data across FBOL and SAP systems.

Reconcile supplier statements, accrued POs, and support month-end financial close.

Process non-EDI invoices, onboard new suppliers, and ensure policy compliance.

Produce weekly purchasing, delivery, invoice, and goods received reports.

Resolve invoice, PO, and supplier discrepancies while ensuring Compass and Levy standards.

Build strong relationships with suppliers, HODs, the purchasing team, and finance stakeholders.

Drive process improvements, deliver purchasing training, and support wider finance activities.
What we're looking for

Experience with data analysis, accounts payable and administration

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
