We are a small business working mostly around Bournemouth and Christchurch looking for events assistant to help with deliveries to and from event venues. The work involves setting up (rigging and derigging) and also supporting a busy team of florist s.
We are looking for a hard worker to start with us asap. Previous experience in site labouring or delivery would stand you in good stead as heavy lifting, shifting and working at height is essential. The job involves delivery and collection of heavy event equipment, on site set up and de-rig of events, kitting and general maintenance.
Ideally you will have experience of working in the hospitality and events industry with either; props, drapery, lighting or rigging, although on the job training will be provided for the right candidate. Working weekends (consistently during the summer months) with early starts and some evenings. Due to the nature of the events industry we require staff to be flexible during our peak seasons - please do not apply if you are unavailable during early mornings and weekends.
Applicants will require a full clean UK drivers’ license, to include the ability to drive B1 light goods vans up to 3.5ton.
The successful applicant will need; excellent attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, to be reliable, flexible, presentable, friendly, enthusiastic and able to work well within a team.
Please note again that the role involves working at height (ladders) and loading/unloading heavy equipment at venues. Candidate must be physically fit, punctual, reliable and committed....this job is definitely not for the faint hearted!

Shifts will usually start from here, start and finish times will vary according to event requirements but 40 hours minimum will be accumulated. Seasonal summer worker student would also be considered. IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED
