Join our team as a Catering Assistant during school hours, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment for students.
In this role, you will assist the cook in the kitchen or assist making lunch boxes, the hours are 9am to 2pm term time only, September 2nd start.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation of food items in accordance with health and safety standards
- Serve meals to students in a friendly, efficient manner, ensuring portion control and presentation quality
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen stations, and equipment throughout the service period
- Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene protocols diligently
- Engage positively with students and staff to promote a welcoming dining environment
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during busy mealtimes
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety standards
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities or schedules as needed
- Prior experience in catering or food service is advantageous but not essential—training will be provided
- A dbs is required but we will apply for this for you.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
