Duties
- Assist the lead art teacher in preparing classroom materials, supplies, and setting/clearing up the classroom.
- Support students during art activities by providing guidance, encouragement, and individualized assistance.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, organized environment conducive to creative exploration.
- Foster positive interactions among students, promoting collaboration, mentoring, and peer support.
- Adapt instructional techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Supervise students during art projects, clean-up times, and transitions to ensure safety and orderliness.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in educational or extracurricular settings, especially in art or creative environments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and students.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate students while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Experience teaching art-related skills is a plus.
- Passion for arts education combined with patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners.
