We work closely with housing associations, local authorities, and block management companies, delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services.
About the Role
You will be working closely alongside our clients, attending pre-booked commercial and residential appointments scheduled by our dedicated planning team, who manage your entire diary and workload.
The role involves carrying out planned maintenance (PPM) and responsive/remedial repairs to properties and communal plant rooms across Reading, London and surrounding areas. You will manage PPM schedules across domestic housing estates, including fault finding, diagnosis, and repair.
You will work alongside suppliers and manufacturers to ensure parts are sourced efficiently and systems are restored and kept operational with minimal disruption.
Core Responsibilities
- Full scope of commercial gas servicing, maintenance, and repair works in line with current Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations and company procedures
- Planned and reactive maintenance of communal plant rooms and commercial heating systems
- Knowledge of Heating Interface Units (HIUs) including diagnostics, fault finding, and on-site repairs
- Carrying out general plumbing works, including pipework repairs, valve replacement, leak detection, pumps, cylinders, and associated components
- Managing works across plant rooms and communal systems
- Sourcing appropriate materials and liaising with suppliers and manufacturers
- Managing and maintaining accurate records of van stock
- Surveying works and producing clear job reports
- Managing and attending out-of-hours call outs
- Strong boiler and parts knowledge, including manufacturer warranty procedures
- Demonstrating flexibility, responsiveness, and a proactive approach to workload
- Providing excellent customer service while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Working collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
- Taking ownership of tasks and demonstrating a desire to progress
Essential Requirements
- Commercial Core Gas qualifications, including:
- CDGA1
- CIGA1
- TPCP1(A)
- ICPN1
- CCN1
- COCN1
- TPCP1A
- Valid Gas Safe Registration Card
- Experience working in commercial and communal plant room environments
- Strong general plumbing skills
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Full, valid UK driving licence

Working Hours & Call Outs
Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
You will be expected to participate in an on-call rota, covering critical issues out of hours and at weekends, with overtime paid on top of standby allowance for site attendance.
