Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our café runs smoothly, providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Working Hours: 07:30-14:30. - weekend work may be required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, ensuring quality and adherence to food safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries.
- Opening and closing the café as is required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Assist with catering events as needed, helping to set up and serve food items.
Skills
- Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for food preparation and catering services will be highly regarded.
