Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team, providing exceptional support to residents during both day and night shifts. Duties
- Deliver high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and company policies
- Lead the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and resident progress using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with medication management in accordance with prescribed protocols
- Support residents during night shifts by monitoring their safety and responding promptly to any needs or emergencies
Skills
- Proven experience in senior care or working within a care home environment
- Supervising or leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans with attention to individual needs
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation duties or errands related to resident care
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to senior care environments
