General Class Assistant – MIPA Performing Arts School
Location: Wombourne, Wolverhampton
Hours: 2–4 hours per week, Saturday mornings during term time
Pay: Dependent on experience

About MIPA
MIPA is a growing performing arts school based in Wombourne, specialising in Musical Theatre, Drama, Dance and Singing for young people.
We are looking for a passionate, reliable and enthusiastic General Class Assistant to join our team and support our Saturday morning classes.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with young people and wants to develop their experience within the performing arts and education sector.
The Role
As a General Class Assistant, you will support the teaching team during our Saturday morning classes, helping to create a positive, fun and encouraging environment for our students.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers during Musical Theatre, Drama, Dance and Singing sessions
- Helping students during activities, rehearsals and group work
- Supporting with classroom management and maintaining a safe, positive environment
- Helping students learn choreography, songs, scripts and performance material
- Assisting with performances, showcases and other MIPA events
- Helping with general preparation and organisation before and after classes
- Being a positive role model for our students
- Working as part of a small and growing team
Who We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in Musical Theatre, Drama, Dance and/or Singing
- Experience working with children or young people
- A positive, enthusiastic and encouraging approach
- Reliability and commitment to Saturday mornings
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for the performing arts and helping young people develop
Desirable:
- Enhanced DBS or existing DBS
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle, due to the location of the school
- Previous experience assisting or teaching performing arts classes
- Relevant qualifications or training in performing arts, education or childcare
