We’re looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable people to join our Front of House team at The Three Pilchards in the heart of beautiful Polperro.
Whether you’re pulling the perfect pint, serving delicious food, chatting with our regulars or welcoming visitors from around the world, you’ll play a huge part in creating the warm, relaxed atmosphere we’re known for.
This is a fast-paced role, especially during the busy holiday season, so we’re looking for people who enjoy keeping busy, working as part of a team and taking pride in delivering great service.
What you’ll be doing
- Serving drinks and food with a smile.
- Providing excellent customer service to every guest.
- Taking food and drink orders accurately.
- Keeping the bar, restaurant and garden clean, tidy and well-presented.
- Clearing and resetting tables efficiently.
- Helping maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the pub.
- Restocking the bar and preparing for service.
- Working closely with the kitchen and the rest of the team to ensure smooth service.
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere for locals, holidaymakers and their dogs!
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a positive, can-do attitude.
- Enjoys working with people.
- Works well under pressure and keeps calm during busy periods.
- Takes pride in keeping things clean and organised.
- Can use their initiative and spot jobs that need doing without being asked.
- Is reliable, punctual and a great team player.
- Is happy working evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Previous hospitality experience is an advantage, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
