About Barshu
Barshu is an established Sichuan restaurant located in the heart of Soho. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Part-Time Waiter / Waitress to join our front-of-house team.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment and providing welcoming, attentive service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and seating customers
- Taking food and drink orders accurately
- Serving food and beverages efficiently
- Explaining menu items and assisting customers with their choices
- Checking customer satisfaction throughout the meal
- Preparing and resetting tables
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation in the dining area
- Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Following food safety, hygiene and restaurant procedures
- Supporting other front-of-house duties when required
What We Are Looking For
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Fluent spoken English is essential, Mandarin-speaking ability is preferred but not essential
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Able to remain organised in a busy restaurant environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but training can be provided
- An interest in Sichuan or Chinese cuisine would be an advantage
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK
Working Hours
This is a part-time position with variable hours based on the restaurant rota and business requirements.
Available shifts may fall within:
Applicants should ideally be available for a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts.
Pay and Benefits
