We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care for a young man with Cerebral Palsy. Our client is an enthusiastic rugby league fan who loves attending live events, gigs, and outings. He uses a wheelchair, communicates via a talker with a head switch, and requires full support with personal care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with personal care, mobility, communication, and daily activities
- Accompany the client to rugby league games, gigs, and social outings
- Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful environment to enhance the client’s well-being
- Support with access to new activities and experiences to improve the client’s quality of life
- Assist with transport, driving the client’s fully adapted automatic vehicle
- Administer medication and provide PEG feeding, following full training
- Carry out light household cleaning duties
- Maintain accurate records of care and activities

Shift Details:
One night shift per week - Thursday
Shift Time: 4:30 PM – 9:00 AM
Two morning shifts on the weekend
Saturday - 8am-11am
Sunday - 8.30am-11.30am
Total hours: 22.5 hours per week
We are recruiting one Support Worker for this role. The shift includes a sleep-in component, with the sleep rate of pay starting once the client goes to bed.
Flexibility is required to cover additional shifts for sickness, absences, overnight stays, gigs, and other events.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving, especially with individuals who have complex needs
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional care, with responsibility and empathy
- The ability to adapt to the client’s needs and preferences
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude towards participating in the client’s interests
- A commitment to maintaining the client’s dignity and independence
- A full, clean, driving license.
Rates of Pay:
Waking rate: £16.54 per hour
Sleep rate: £12.71 per hour
