Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and have the ability to diagnose and repair various types of machinery and vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and machinery, ensuring optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and timing belts/water pumps.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they become serious issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop.
Skills
- Proficient in mechanical repairs and maintenance techniques.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver's licence is preferred; additional qualifications in automotive technology or engineering are advantageous.
