Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience while increasing sales opportunities
- Monitor tables throughout the dining process, checking on guests’ needs and ensuring their satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, tables, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not required; a passion for guest service is essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing and transactions
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Familiarity with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus, along with culinary experience for better understanding of menu items
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding guest services with a positive attitude and professionalism
