We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. Duties
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Support children with their individual needs, encouraging independence and confidence
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop personalised care plans for each child
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Assist in organising nursery routines and ensuring smooth daily operations
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment of children's development through observations and record keeping
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
- Ability to organise activities that are educational, fun, and age-appropriate
- Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for supporting young children's growth
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
